Who we are
Junbo Chinese operates a food ordering service at junbochinese.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect and why

We collect only what is necessary to process your order (APP 3 — minimum necessary collection). Phone number collection only occurs when SMS notifications are enabled.
How we store and protect your data
Your order data is stored in a secure, encrypted database. Access is restricted to authorised staff. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment card details — these are tokenised by Stripe before leaving your browser.
Who we share your data with
We share your data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to process your order:
- Stripe, Inc. (United States) — payment processing. Your name and phone may be included in payment record metadata. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
- Supabase, Inc. (United States) — secure database hosting your order records and application data.
Both providers are located in the United States. By placing an order, you acknowledge that your personal information may be disclosed overseas (APP 8). Each provider maintains appropriate data security standards.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertising networks or use it for marketing without your consent.
How long we keep your data
- Order records: Retained for 7 years as required by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for tax and accounting purposes.
- Phone numbers: Retained only for the duration of the relevant order period and deleted on request, unless longer retention is required by law.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you (APP 12)
- Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information (APP 13)
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Make a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been breached

Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage solely to remember your cart contents and allow you to return to your order confirmation page. No third-party tracking cookies are used. No advertising networks receive your data from this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the ordering service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
